As time passes our skin shows the natural, inevitable signs of aging – wrinkles, sagging, sun damage. But you can counteract those effects with several non-surgical cosmetic procedures available at our practice.
BOTOX® Cosmetic, or botulinum toxin type A, is a protein commonly used to non-surgically reduce or eliminate the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is injected under the skin into areas surrounding the eyes, forehead and mouth to smooth crow's feet, frown and worry lines, and lines on the neck. The injections block nerve impulses, weakening muscles to relax wrinkles and give the skin a rejuvenated look. BOTOX® Cosmetic may also be useful for migraine headaches, excessive sweating, and eye and neck muscle spasms.

Approved by the FDA, RESTYLANE® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. RESTYLANE® is a clear transparent gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. This acid is not of animal or human origin, which means that there is no risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for a RESTYLANE® treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows), the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth), and the lips, to provide fullness and shape. With its unique ability to bind with water, RESTYLANE® remains in your skin for many months.

Formerly known as Radience, Radiesse is a synthetic injectable filler that non-surgically reduces most wrinkles, creases and scars by augmenting your body’s natural collagen supply. Composed of microspheres in a biocompatible gel, Radiesse is made from the same minerals found in our bones, so it carries no risk of allergic reaction – just one of its advantages over alternative treatments. Radiesse can be used on many areas of the body, but the most effective areas treated are the nasolabial folds, peri-oral lines, depressed scars and oral commissures.
Treatments typically take 15 minutes and require only local anesthetic. Side effects such as swelling or bruising are minimal and should fade within a few days. Results are visible immediately after the injection and can last for months or years, although the procedure can be repeated as often as you wish.

Sculptra™ is a new injectable product used to fill in sunken areas of the face in patients who suffer from lipoatrophy or “facial wasting,” the loss of fat beneath the skin. Injected into the deep dermis layer of the skin, Sculptra increases skin thickness over time to improve the appearance of sunken cheeks, hollow eyes, indentations and wrinkles. There is no need for allergy testing, since Sculptra’s main component is poly-L-lactic acid, a synthetic polymer in the alpha-hyrdoxy-acid family that has been used for 20 years in surgical products such as dissolvable sutures and bone screws.
Treatment results lasted up to two years in clinical trials. Possible side effects include those associated with any injection (bleeding, tenderness, redness, bruising or swelling) as well as the appearance of small bumps beneath the skin.

Fat grafting fills facial features with a patient's own fat. The fat used for fat transfer is extracted from parts of your body like the abdomen or thighs and injected into another area that requires plumping. Since the fat is your own, a significant portion of the fat becomes permanent, and therefore it eliminates the need for constant reinjections, as with other materials.

In the past only a traditional facelift could restore the balance of a youthful face, but renowned facial plastic surgeons, Dr. William E. Silver and Dr. Louis DeJoseph have mastered a liquid solution.
“Deep wrinkles, smile lines, hollowed out eyes and loss of fat in the cheeks can be corrected with the right filler, or combination of fillers and Botox,” says Dr. Silver.
“We use the “Liquid Lift” or injectables to plump, fill and smooth deep lines and wrinkles,” explains Dr. DeJoseph. “Creating a more youthful appearance with only injectables provides immediate results and there’s no downtime”.
Frown Lines & Brows:
Botox injected between the brows to reduce muscle contractions that lead to vertical lines. Injected above the brows can lend a subtle lifting effect by reducing downward pull of the depressor muscles. Sometimes referred to as a “chemical browlift”
Botox around the eyes to prevent muscle contractions that cause crow’s feet.
“VUE” Volume Undereye Enhancement fills the lines around the eyes that remain after Botox treatment and to fill the hollow “tear trough” area to correct volume loss and eliminate the dark circles and tired look. Creates a smooth contour down to the cheeks.
Cheek Enhancement with injections of Perlane and Sculptra to the Cheeks to restore volume and create lift.
Smile Lines/ML Folds:
Injections of Radiesse or Artefill to fill and plum up the nasolabial folds restoring youthful volume.
Restore volume to the lips and fills the perioral “smokers” or “bleed” lines surrounding the lips themselves with Restylane.
Perlane or Radiesse add definition to the jawline and address mildly sagging skin by restoring volume.
