Microdermabrasion has crossed over from Hollywood to the mainstream. It’s being advanced as an “Instant Facelift” by the medical industry. Microdermabrasion gently removes the epidermisor top layer of the stratem corneum which encourages vasodilatation, improved cell nutrition, improved skin elasticity and improved skin texture. Microdermabrasion is a safe, non-invasive procedure for resurfacing the skin and is used to treat sun damage, scarring, wrinkles and other superficial skin problems of the face, neck, chest and other areas. Also, referred to as the “lunchtime peel”, this skin resurfacing treatment requires no down time.
Microdermabrasion is safe for all skin types and particularly Asian, Hispanic and African American skin types, as there is no risk for skin discoloration and restores these skin types to a more youthful, radiant appearance. There is no age range for the use of Microdermabrasion. It is appropriate to use as needed on problematic and acne prone skin, rosacea and sensitive skin, sun-damaged and aging skin and it may be used as a preventative on young adults.
Microdermabrasion by medical aestheticians is an effective medical skin care treatment that gently resurfaces the skin with the application of tiny crystals, combined with gentle abrasion for superficial ablation of the epidermis or outer layer of the skin. Abrasion of the stratum corneum removes keratin cells and the mortar layer between the cells which will allow for more topical serum penetration of nutrients into the dermis. This in turn will help in the formation of a new stratum corneum layer to the skin. The new skin is youthful and radiant with marked improvement of the old skin imperfections.
Premier Image provides Microdermabrasion treatments by only experienced, certified medical aestheticians and supervised by Board Certified Cosmetic Surgeons. Our goal is to bring you the absolute best skin care to restore and reveal a beautiful, radiant, more youthful appearance
The crystals are immediately vacuumed away, resulting in the removal of the top layer of the stratum corneum. The vacuum action increases blood flow into the dermis which increases fibroblast activity, which in turn causes an increase in Collagen and Elastin formation. The vacuum action closes up large pores, removes dead cells, and plumps up and tightens the skin. Microdermabrasion resurfacing stimulates the production of Collagen, which in turn improves skin elasticity and thickness while smoothing and tightening the skin.
After Microdermabrasion treatment the new living skin is soft, smooth and more receptive to pharmaceutical-grade skin care products that are rich in vitamins and nutrients. Patients are encouraged to use a good sun protection following treatments. Results are immediate, however a full treatment protocol is 6 to 8 treatments, spaced 2 to 3 weeks apart, and followed by one treatment every 2 to 3 months. Microdermabrasion is often performed in conjunction with other skin rejuvenation procedures and a home skin care protocol using Premier Image Dermaceuticals pharmaceutical-grade skin care products.

Plastic surgery can leave bruising, swelling and scars that keep you indoors even after you feel well enough to return to work or other activities. Camouflage cosmetics can hide these post-surgical side effects in both women and men and help you resume your regular schedule as quickly and seamlessly as possible.
Camouflage cosmetics are used for three purposes: concealing, color correcting and contouring. Concealers are thick, opaque but creamy foundations that hide bruises and incision lines. They should be blended into foundation, color correctors or eye makeup around the eyes to avoid build-up in the delicate skin creases there. Color correctors blend post-surgical marks with your normal skin tone. (Lavender shades work well for yellows, while green counteracts redness.) Lastly, light and dark contour products hide swelling by creating the appearance of highlights and shadows. Contour products are most popular after nose or facial implant surgery, although they can be used anywhere on the face.

Our post-operative skin care program involves a number of treatments to ensure optimum healing and the least amount of bruising and swelling following facial plastic and laser surgeries.
- Lymphatic massage strengthens the performance of the immune system, benefits internal organs and helps get rid of toxins. This technique involves "pumping" the lymphatic system by pressing forcefully, up and down on the chest to stimulate lymph movement.
- Ultrasound generates heat within the tissues, which aids in wound healing. It releases histamine, accelerating the acute inflammatory phase and promoting the healing process.

“Wake Up Beautiful Every Morning”
Permanent Makeup, also known as permanent cosmetics, micro-pigmentation, cosmetic tattooing and dermal pigmentation, is the professional practice and art of implanting micro-insertions of color (pigment) into the dermal layer of the skin for the purpose of cosmetic enhancement. Enjoy the benefits permanent makeup has offered thousands of women. Permanent makeup can diminish your need for makeup, define features, fill in brows that are sparse, enhance your lips, frame your eyes, camouflage scars and much more. Permanent Makeup can be subtle or dramatic depending on your needs and desires. The best permanent makeup looks so natural no one knows you have it.
Permanent Make-up or Micropigmentation
Micropigmentation is the art and science of implanting color into your skin. It is putting the right color in the right place so you can look better naturally. Specialized instruments allow your practitioner to place color into the layer of skin known as the dermis. Because the outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin. When your procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result. This is because the color is in BOTH the epidermis and the dermis. The color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process. "Permanent makeup" is not permanent. The color fades with time and the body removes some color. You will need to have color boost procedures every 1-3 years depending upon the colors used, your skin and the environment. In Hawaii we have a lot of sunshine so brows fade faster than in Alaska. Relax and enjoy your new long lasting semi-permanent makeup designed to let you look like yourself only better. Naturally.
What exactly is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent cosmetic makeup is the art and science of implanting color into your skin.
Will I really look like myself...Only Better?
Permanent cosmetic makeup helps replenish what time has taken away and gives back precious time you normally spend "putting on your face". You can save up to 100 hours in a single year that we re formerly spent struggling to draw eyebrows evenly or eyeliner half-way straight. That's two and one-half weeks of free time plus the money you'll save buying new and expensive cosmetics that rub off, smear, smudge and disappear during the day. Permanent makeup is not intended to replace cosmetics completely. Because the color is placed "in" your skin and not "on" your skin a more natural, softer look results. When you're ready to kick up your heels and go out for a night-on-the-town, you can apply as much additional makeup as you wish.
I'm afraid of pain... Does permanent makeup have to hurt a lot?
New topical anesthetics have been developed especially for permanent make up for eyeliner, eyebrows and lip color procedures. These creams and gels are applied to the desired area before and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience possible. Some people describe the sensation as a "tingling" feeling. Most people experience some discomfort, especially for lip color procedures. It is common to hear that there was not as much pain as was expected. As the anesthetic wears off after the procedure, cool packs are very soothing to the area.
How long will it take to recover?
You'll look like you've had a good cry for several hours following eyeliner. It is advised to apply ice for 10 minutes at a time during these first few hours. Also, it is important to wear sunglasses as your eyes may be temporarily sensitive to light. Eyebrow procedures have the least swelling. Lip color often involves temporary swelling. You must let your technician know if you have a history of fever blisters so your doctor can prescribe medication.
How long will my permanent makeup last?
Permanent make-up is long-lasting. However, as you become accustomed to your new makeup it's not uncommon to want more. You will want to freshen up your new makeup every couple of years. The darker the color, such as black, the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Natural, delicate colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of sun, swimming and breakdown by the body. No pigment is FDA approved for tattoos. Both organic and inorganic pigments may be used to achieve the desired color.
Can I remove my permanent makeup if I change my mind?
Because it's easy to add color and difficult to take away, your technician will be conservative in the initial application of your new color. Take advantage of the consultation to discuss your wants and needs. It's also a time where you and your technician choose the right colors and discuss any special requests you may have. Your cooperation will largely determine the end result of your procedures. Remember it is a team effort .
Can I get my permanent makeup cheaper?
Remember the saying "You get what you pay for". It saves you money and embarrassment to do right the first time! If you already have permanent makeup and wish to have changes in the shape or color, please call for a consult.
What if I have plastic or laser surgery?
Cosmetic surgery is desirable for many reasons as we age. It's best to complete your surgery before having your makeup applied. Laser surgery or resurfacing may result in color loss or darkening of your makeup depending on the laser and the colors in your skin. Advise your laser surgeon that you have permanent cosmetics so that he or she can perform a "spot test" before they proceed. If either cosmetic surgery or laser causes color loss, then it is a simple matter to have the color replaced. Your technician can explain more about complications of cosmetic tattoos.
